Hi everyone! I got inspired to remake another classic after some suggestions on my previous game, DK Arcade. This was a fun project that took me roughly a month of hard work to pull off. It turned out much bigger than I anticipated since in the middle of production, I got the idea of creating a new game and changing a bunch of things to the original.

This game features 2 games within: Jetpac and Rocket!
Jetpac is the original version some may remember with many features and changes made by myself. Among the most notable changes, are Powerups and Bombs! Collect them as they fall to gain new powers and unlock secrets!

Rocket is a new game I implemented where you navigate your Rocket across space, collecting Items and avoiding the enemies for as long as you can! You get to unlock new rockets depending on how far you get on Jetpac. The collectable items are colored in Yellow, and the enemies are colored in Red. You must re-fuel your rocket with fuel packs along the way or you'll find yourself with an unresponsive rocket navigating through space!

I'm happy I managed to finish this pretty quickly and submit new things to NG, I hope everyone enjoys this as much as I enjoyed making it!

When I launched this game, I really did not expect it to hook me for as long as it did. While it resembles an old school 80's PC game, it's controls are surprisingly tight and the progression is well done. The difficulty is just right and it doesn't outstay it's welcome. Not to mention there are 2 separate modes.

A remake of the game of the same name on the ZX Spectrum is pretty cool!!!

Great job at "recreating" this awesome game.
I wish it had "fullscreen option". But good job!

For those who don't know, Jet Pac is a real game made by RARE (they had a different name back then) for the zx spectrum. In fact it was their first game ever, so this has "some" classic value. The game was also featured as a bonus game on Donkey Kong 64 which is where most people first played it.

It's also quite strange that this great game took so long to be ported to flash. Well, so did Shadowgate (uploaded to NG exacly 2 days before this one).

Now, I wouldn't rate this very high for being just a port, since it's, well, a port. Since you added a feature of your own (the Rocket minigame), the game gained content and so must be rated higher for having original stuff.

Since everything is good, there's no reason to rate it any low, but I don't think a perfect score is fair, since the main game is not an original creation. The port was very well done however, so I give it 4.5 stars.

WTF with a button called NEWGROUNDS (in the game). It opens a lot of tabs in my browser. Pretty scry tho. Plz fix this. Also game is cool.
