Shoot, explore, upgrade, conquer enemies, defeat bosses, acquire achievements, collect gems, all in an attempt to save yourself and your gun from the clutches of the evil Professor.

You begin by finding yourself stuck at the bottom of a cave with no idea how you got there. Befriending the first thing you see, an intelligent gun, you begin your ascent to freedom.

Control your character with AD or Arrow Keys, jump with W/Space/Up, and use the mouse to aim and shoot (or switch control schemes in the options). As you acquire more guns, use QE or 1-4 or the mouse wheel to switch between them. Open the menu/upgrade screen with tab, escape, or P.

In the options menu you can mute the music and/or sound, change the text speed, and change the control scheme.

Perfect--great look, easy controls, fun music, sweet environment, elaborate premise, and oh how i love the upgrades! I generally tire from this kind of game pretty quickly because i don't have the patience to try over and over again, but this game managed the tricky balance between having to do the whole level over and over again and actually going somewhere and evolving. So much fun.

Love this game! Played it on Kon. Only thing I don't care for is the ending, so sad ;_;
Silgado, just go back and grind a little, upgrade your weapon's power one or two levels, then try the boss again. They really aren't that hard.

The boss battles do not reflect the difficulty of the rest of the game. It's very frustrating going through the easy level, and then all of a sudden you cannot beat the boss.... For me, frustration does not equal fun...

I do like this game, and it's really well done and all, but... I don't like the controls. It's really awkward to have to tap keys and click at the same time, and when I switched to keyboard controls, there was no good way to aim the gun properly. Just having to move AND aim AND shoot made it all really... awkward. So I didn't really like playing it that much, and stopped after a short amount of time.

Awesome, almost perfect

It was very difficult to quit playing this game. I like it because you weren't pushed to finish the level in a certain amount of time. The upgrades were great, and finding all of the items, even with the X-ray, was very challenging. The boss battles as well were unbelievable. I have tried some of the side games, which are fun, but I'm particular to the main quest.
I am a big fan of 8-bit graphics, but the sprites need to be bigger to allow for more detail. It's hard to sympathize with a character who consists of only a few pixels. he music for the intro is good, but it's inconsistent with the rest of the music in the game which is chip tune. I think it's better to stick with one type of music for each game, unless the setting or location calls for it.
Despite the aesthetics, this was a fun game and I give it a high evaluation.
