I suppose you aimed to try and make it like the "good old" NES games. If so, you succeeded.
Though it has been mentioned, I say it again: Navigating those tight spaces like in lvl 15 and lvl 18 is just... well, "too" hard. I myself almost gave up at lvl 15 since I started to get frustrated, then passed with a little shout of "Yeah!", proceeded to beat some levels and at lvl 18 I was like this: "...you serious?"
Tried a couple of times, then thought "Gah, gonna take too long to master the movement". I'd almost say it takes more luck than skill at this point, but well, who knows.
For "average" player the difficulty is probably too much, ending in player quitting shortly. I'd say, make the movement of going up/down easier and I'd like the game better.
Side note: I have beaten some hard games like Demon's Souls before, so I wouldn't call myself average player. Just mentioning. :P
Rank: Jetpack Demigod, 38800 points. Made it to 18th of all time.
This is awesome
I am a 9th grade guy but i always have liked this old school games, in fact i have a gba with multigames, i mean like nes games and atari games just that you play them in the gba and i play with it every day in school with my friends games like adventure island, challenger, donkey kong sometimes even tetris so when i play this game it makes me feel like im playin something new but yet with the retro style so its awesome 10/10 to this, srsly this is an awesome game
thanks a lot :) you made me smile :)
this game is well made yet poorly made
the steam/jet pack is impossible to fly in a straight line especially on 15 so i said fuck it im done with the game if its truly dumb luck(random weather you live or die)
Kids these days...
must be awesome video game players!
Pretty nice game; it is simple but very challenging. Simply completing the levels isn't too hard but of course the real goal is to get all the coins, and that is quite hard. Now to go see what the original game plays like! :O
Controls seem fine to me o_o
Giving this a 5/5 to offset the low scores from the folks with poor hand eye coordination and or gimp hands.
The game is simple and fun. Reminiscent of classic NES games like another reviewer said. The controls are obvious and not that difficult. Yet another case of people who fail bringing a game down because of their lack of skill/coordination.
Kids these days, they want everything handed to them. Thank you vartagh for releasing a game that requires at least SOME skill.
thank you RoMeJo for you very very kind and cool review :)
