Sketch Quest is an action-platformer that uses a unique drawing mechanic to have the player customize their character. You control a character in a high-school student's notebook and earn/draw weapons and enemies as you advance through the levels.

This project was developed by five students at the Vancouver Film School Game Design program over 3 months.

the idea of drawing your own weapons and armor is very good

but, controls are too hard, and veryslow, the music is...strange.

idon't have too much to say about this, but i will wait to see another release,
and i hope it will be easyer to control, have more music,(or better one)and faster gameplay

Needs some work but its a good concept

I really like this game but it was such a dissapointment when, after i opened the first door, lost ALL OF MY DRAWING!

I made a cool character and weapon, but when I opened the dor it vanished, that really dissapointed me. On the other hand, some sounds are tiring but they dont drive me mad so Its not that terrible. I think that with some extra work, u can make a really good game with an interesting concept

Needs more polish.

I give props to the author. I think the idea of drawing your own weapons & such is a great idea. It allows you really be creative & it makes the game a bit more fun. That's a cool innovation I appreciate.

The game itself is a bit of a clunky platformer. The controls are a bit awkward (meaning slow to respond) and the flight trajectory of your thrown weapons is tough to aim - especially when things are coming down on you.

I think that this is a good alpha version, but it really needs a bit more polish to make it great. Keep working on it! Once again, thanks for sharing a new idea with us!

This is so amazing...

...but extremely glitchy. After passing level two, the game decided that I didn't need my throwing apples any more, even though it had a sign stating that I could use them on that level. No big problem.

Then it would not let the "Press E to Doodle" sign go away. Even after I came across another place to doodle, it still kept it up.

The final straw was when it decided that enemies, like bees and cars, did not need to be stopped by solid objects.

I wanted to enjoy it, but the glitches became unbearable. It's such a great concept, so I think if you tweaked it (as well as worked on the sound effects), you'd have a really addicting winner!
