Not bad, but not exciting either.
It's a bit slow paced and the enemy bullets are a little hard to see sometimes. Did you use Actionscript 2 or Actionscript 3?
A 6 level classic vertical-scrolling shooter. Battle the robot army to save mankind. You are the Sky Captain and our last stand against the enemy so suit up and get your plane fired up.
I hope you like the game guys... Your feedback is welcome! Have fun!

thanks. The game is made in AS3
I liked this...
...a few years ago when it was Raiden X. This is a good game, but it doesn't add anything new to the table, and just seems too similar to Raiden X to me.
Good classic
It's the recreation of my Super NES days. Used to play it all the time. :)
Xevious homage...
Reminds me of that 80's classic through and through. And thats not a bad thing.
Pretty enough, but unfulfilling
Overall the graphics are nice. There's very little clipping. The controls are very responsive. The hit detection is fairly spot on.
The sound and music is somewhat dull. The "bomb" is rather boring in that it's a simple "press a key to clear the screen" attack rather than something strategic. The enemy shots are almost impossible to see against the background and beyond impossible when the graphics clip. The grading system at the end is a nice touch... right up until you included a rating for "accuracy", which goes against almost everything a vertical scrolling shooter stands for (blasting out as many shots as you possibly can).
I'd consider a bigger variety of planes to pick from with different weapons and defenses to shake things up. Like one with shields, or one that deploys aerial mines, or one that fires very slowly but each shot has a sustained effect that does splash damage.
thanks for your feedback LordKnightcon. I might remove the accuracy, as you suggested
