I hope you love it! Please go gentle, this is my first solo game. Actually, come to think of it, this is my first ActionScript 3.0 game.

Yes, you CAN beat every level! All of them are possible, some are just hard.

Good yet difficulty spike

Ever heard of a difficulty spike? A game where everything is fine and dandy and then suddenly makes a jump and becomes harder than it should. Not all the levels are beatable, seriously. I gave up after trying to beat "Remember Me" for five minutes because guess what? Difficulty spike, oh and also the second platform is one pixel out of reach. Sometimes I would hit the side of it but it was impossible to jump on to it even when I was as far over as possible on the first platform. Should look into fixing that level.

The game play is simple and addictive and gets you into wanting to beat every level as well which is grand and all but one should also play test every level they make so they know there is no errors in them that could cause a player to be unable to finish the game. Some of the levels feel like they were left untested though.

The music is pretty nice here although I would suggest choosing something that loops a lot better rather than one that ends and has to restart all over again like the one you chose for this little game.

Overall, it is a good game but seriously, "Remember Me" needs to be fixed or at least have the second floating platform moved one pixel towards you.

Thanks for the informative review. This is, like I said, my first solo game. Remember Me is beatable, just check the scoreboards for proof of that. Also, the loopability of Jumper isn't really up to me. It fit the game the best, and thats why I chose it.

remember me

i give this game half just because i died so many times on one level. if you make something that hard it will make it so you dont want to finish the game. i didnt even finish it just because of that one level.

So, let me get this strait: You gave me a bad score because you couldn't beat ONE level? Im sorry, but thats your fault, not mine. When you were in high school, did your teacher fail you because you did bad on one assignment?

Difficulty Problems

You started off nicely; simple situations to become accustom to the mechanics, (a little too simple, we all know how platformers work.) but then the level design goes awry.

First, the controls are a bit iffy with the jumping. Being unable to conrtol the hieght of your jump makes percision platforming as pleasing as a crowbar to the shins. This problem could be avoided if the game wasn't so relient on small platforms. But alas, you throw them everywhere anyway.

Second, WAY to many "leap of faith" instances. A games dificulty is supposed to progress based on how the player's skill with the game progresses. Throwing them into a situation where they have to guess is never a good way to progress with this, unless the skill being developed through the game is clarvoyence. Plus, that "The Fall" stage just made me sick.

Lasty, the music. It was catchy and all, but way out of place being in a cave with blood covered spikes. I suppose it fits the Rainbow Man, but even he seems out of place, or either it's the enviornment he's in.
