This game is sort of a sequel to age of war. However, its 100% re-drawn and 100% re-coded.

Great game, but I was dissapointed

The game was great. Cool units, cool enemy, and a cool all around game. But it was too short... Zero replay value, only 4 ages, and only one enemy made this game lack. I like it but your other games were better.
Nice graphics
Upgradable buildings
Cool units

Zero Replay value
Only one enemy
Only four ages
It doesnt live up to the older games

Deleting all your units when you evolve is a really retarded game mechanic and you need to get rid of it. As soon as you evolve the enemy just marches straight into your base and ruins your shit, it makes you never want to evolve.

Well the reason for the low rateing is after every time you evolve your stuff disappers plus using your EXP for your super weapon or attack whatever you want to call it kind of kill your chance to upgrade fast plus the aliens start out with 3 turrets at the very beginning I don't care how advanced they are. But in all honesty awesome game and I do look foward to a another one.

age of war 1 was so much betta

in one of the other blogs on age of was there was a rumor that he was making this game i had m hopes up but i am disappointed i liked the origanal idea of cave man vs cae man with the turrents on top the base i really enjoyed age of war and this fell pitifully short to it

Technically Army of Ages is an extremely well made game, however it is unfortunately a mess when it comes to actual design. Balance is borderline non-existent in this game. Rain of arrows is consistently the most useful ability as it is the only one that damages air units.

When you advance to the next age, everything you have disappears, which is just plain dumb.

Even the aesthetics are less interesting when you get to the future age. Age of War 1 had somewhat silly, but also somewhat imtimidating looking forces with a red and black colour scheme. Age of War 2 had a much better looking future age with a techno-organic look to it. Army of Ages however has a generic anime-ish look. I get that you need to make it distinct from the aliens, but still, it's less cool.

Finally, you can't play as the aliens, which is another disappointment.
