good, but done before, and done better

it was fun, though i was very upset to beat it and just get "oh, you beat the game. go beat it again." other than that i did like it. though, again, it has been done before.

Good, but needs something else

This game is well-made, my only problem is that I have played very similar games half a dozen times by now. I understand that it is a sequel, and that the designer probably likes this genre, but I just do not feel that there is much that is new about this game. The graphics were good, but the gameplay was a little repetitive. The lack of "cool down" periods on special skills or evolution led to odd results (possibly intentional), the disappearance of my whole army while evolving seems buggy, and the strategy was minimal (selecting which units you wanted your bases to produce, and then deciding whether or not to upgrade). Do not get me wrong, I think this is a good game - it just does not add much.

The decision to have bases create units cuts down on repetitive clicking...which should make the game more enjoyable, but counterintuitively only frees up my brain to be bored easier. I think this game would be much more fun if you were required to focus units, fire at the enemy, or otherwise have the player interact with the actual course of battle. Simply watching an army "autokill" gets old fast.
