Alight is a platformer that mixes exploration and reflexes and more than a little story. Move with the arrow keys, fly with the space bar or up arrow. If you find yourself having trouble getting much altitude, trying pressing the space bar at a slower pace until you find the right rhythm. And remember that you can always drop down out of a flock of birds without using a flap of your wings with the down arrow key.

Every time you enter a door, your game is automatically saved, and you can replay a level at any point.

I don't know how I played as long as I did

I think there's a really confusing sense of desparation and frustration one can get playing this sometimes... I feel like I spent too much time not knowing what I was doing wrong and it made me want to stop playing. It took all my patience not to blam it cause I assume it's a good game for plenty but those perpetual failures with nothing to take away from them for the next try made the whole experience seem very futile

Excrutiatingly BORING.

This game is incredibly boring and difficult to play. The controls feel awkward and respawn times are too long. The level design is very poor, both difficult to navigate on a moment-to-moment basis (platforms too far, obstacles awkwardly placed making for many annoying jumps...) and in an overall sense (difficult to figure out where I'm supposed to go next).

Of course the fundamental problem is that I just don't care about what's going on in the game. How can I? I don't UNDERSTAND what's going on in the game, and it's not even an intriguing lack of understanding. It just feels like shit randomly happening without even internally consistent logic or point to it at all. All I can tell you after playing the first one and a half levels (gave up after that because of how annoying and boring the gameplay is) is that this guy is in a dream. Frankly from second one you've put me off... how do you expect me to care about what's going on in someone's dream, anyway? It's a dream. It'll disappear once he wakes up.

Attn all flash "artists": STOP USING FLIXL

I'm dead serious about this. That engine? It's not that good. Every game made with it has the same looks and bad controls. Stop using it. Get off your butt, and program your own game. Maybe then, you'll spend some time actually thinking about how to make it enjoyable.
