Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

Author Comments

This is the first game I've made now that I am trying to get back into using Flash and Actionscript 3.
It is pretty much just like the original Pong and you can add 'spin' by moving up or down while hitting the ball.

The arrow keys control the right, W and S control the left and press the spacebar to start.

Sound effects taken from FreeSound (http://www.freesound.org )

EDIT: I updated it so that the ball speed is visible.

Reviews

Wow.

This is really really old. I remember my dad talking about it. I think it's a decent enough idea, but you could have added in a main menu to perhaps give people instructions on what to do. I don't know i it's just me, but I don't generally look down at the author's comments until I'm done.
Seven for effort an the idea, though.

<deleted> responds:

Thanks for the score, and I guess I should have added a main menu or something...
I just wanted to try to motivate myself to actually do something so I hurried and got it done.

its good

i like it its old skool and fun for two players but you coulda made it alil more colorful

<deleted> responds:

I wanted to pretty much copy pong so colours weren't really a priority of mine.

welll...

It is exactly what it says it is.. so thats a plus atleast....

not so bad, not so good...

not gonna lie to you, pong its just a basic game to do, any1 would do this, even in paint dude!. my point is, try to do a diferent type of game, with something original, i have like all my characters and scenery for a game (but i dont have a program). try ur best man.

<deleted> responds:

It is true that pong is a pretty easy game to make, but it includes a lot of fundamental game concepts; like keyboard (or mouse) movement, collision detection, etc.
I don't really understand what you meant when you said "even in paint dude!" because you can't make a game in paint.
Finally, I do plan to make original things, I just wanted to get this out.

Okay...

But far too glitchy.

<deleted> responds:

I am aware that it gets glitchy when you hit the ball with the top or bottom of the paddle, but I don't really want to spend lots of time trying to fix it...
