You know what's awesome? Geometry Wars and Raiden Fighters, that's what! And 1942 as well...
So here's a little bit of bullet hell that's an homage to some classic shooters.
Arrows or WASD to control, with Space to Bomb.
Frenzy mode's the most fun - it's pretty much mayhem from the start.
Whilst I enjoy a lot of newgrounds shooters, these days they all seem to be about buying upgrades, and then hiding behind a wall of bullets.
I wanted this to be a different experience - the upgrade is that the player's skill improves as they play (though I did put a scatter-shot in RAIDEN mode).
Anyway, hope you like it! Feel free to comment, of course...
PS: I've made a bunch of medals, so hopefully they'll get approved...
This isn't a game, it's the greatest lagfest ever created.
People shouldn't have to buy mega computers to play your game. Just saying.
My mind is completely blown right now by the awesomeness.
The music, the spaceships. The neon effects of everything. Probably one of the best space shooters I've ever played in my life.
It lags because of the intensity of how awesome it is. Enemies everywhere!

But the Lego Man and Pac-Man medals are broken.
Little too easy
This game is actually designed pretty well, and it's nice to see how it goes out over time. Probably the thing I found annoying was that it was a bit too easy. For some bosses, I could just stay in the same spot the whole time and they couldn't hurt me! Still, it certainly doesn't have anything bad about it. The controls move very smoothly and with how hard some games here are, easiness can be a good thing. I like the music and the noise you make when an enemy dies.
There could have been some more detail in the ships. It's still nice how they have a nice color to them and really light up the entire screen. The background is flashy as well. I suggest you work harder next time but you definitley have the right idea in terms of design. It was also nice how the ship shot the enemies on its own.
