Working with the animation students at Brigham Young University has been a real treat. After much blood, sweat, and tears, we have finally completed Alight. We spent countless hours animating Sparker, the "fire boy," and Aquanna the "water girl," to get the effects and character animation looking just right. To us, they're almost real-life characters by now. We hope you enjoy this unique little piece of Flash animation, mixed with After Effects compositing.

That is an amazing film. Very touching and deep.
I cant wait to see some more work from you.
Til next time!!! :) :) :)

Stunning... I agree with a previous post about high res and will check out the link shortly... This literally blew my mind... It was very cute in the beginning, moving towards apocalyptic, and finally with a creationist twist at the end. Absolutely fantastic. completely and absolutely fantastic.

Flawless animation...

Absolutely flawless. I would love to see this piece in high-resolution, the format in which it is in on NG just can't possibly do a high-res version any justice. This is obviously a very emotional piece of work and I absolutely love it, props to kingdoodle and his/her collaborators at BYU. 5/5 for the purely clear amount of heart and pride put into this beautiful work, 9/10 because I feel the story lacks a bit of understanding and ended rather abruptly. However, the animation is extremely professional, rivaling that of any corporate animation company other than the CGI companies out there today. To any up and coming flash animators out there - I highly recommend you save this video to your favorites and strive to develop your skills to the level that kingdoodle and his friends have demonstrated in this piece. Keep up the good work!

Dante is right.

Loved the music, loved the art. All the animation was smooth and everything.

Only, there's no actual story. Nothing to explain where the characters came from, where the towers or the metal skeleton came from, or why the two things love each other in the first place. Again, it was very nice, but it seemed pretty pointless.
