Great and simple point and click, one of the few worth playing
As a Lovecraft fan I must say I felt this game was missing something. It just felt incomplete. As an adventure game it brought nothing new or exciting to Newgrounds. It's really only worthwhile because it's Lovecraft. However I haven't rated you too low because I know you made this in only three days.
Also, a comment on the storyline of "The Outsider". I thought the ending was fairly obvious. With the hints about having no mirrors and the way the people only reacted when the narrator stepped through the window, I knew what was going on well before the end. Maybe this biased me against the story a little. While it was still a good story, it just wasn't as shocking to me as it probably was to other readers. However, I tried not to let this bias me against the game.
The music, artwork and selected quotes all helped the game move towards that solemn, somewhat frightful atmosphere I'm pretty sure the artist and programmer wanted to evoke.
The ending was just exquisite and tempted me quite greatly to read the selection from where this game was based.
Overall, great point-and-click.
The atmosphere of the game was amazing.
I've started reading Lovecraft recently and The Outsider was one of the stories I've read so far but I hadn't quite understood the ending until I finished your game, so thank you ^^
Nice game, even if it has a sad ending...
