Fly Hard 1 is better becuase it's harder, have more upgrades and is longer.

~ FLY HARD WITH DRUCE MILLIS 2: REVIEW ~

I played Fly Hard 1, when it was released, and simply loved it, and beat the whole game. Finally you bring us the Sequel, and I am NOT disappointed. This game is as good as your previous one, if not, even better ;)

PRESENTATION: 10
You present this game with yet another amusing Cut-Scene, and our beloved hero, Druce Millis (who looks like Homer Simpsons :P). The Menu is simple, with easy navigation, though navigation isn't even needed - starting the game is one button away. This game starts really good, with a new ship, new upgrades, and a whole new way of playing the game - which is VERY interesting and addicting!

GRAPHICS: 10
Marvelous! The new ship is one of the characteristics that this game is original. The enemy ships are creative in terms of both, design and ability. The background is beautiful with space-related graphics, yet it doesn't blend in with the gameplay, making the player maintain his focus on the game. Overall, beautiful graphics, with colors that makes the player differ the enemies from the player, and the same with all the other items and bullets - fantastic ;)

SOUND: 6
I recalled the Upgrade Menu music from the last game, and it's wonderful. The previous installment's soundtrack was better, to be honest. This time, though the game is incredible, the new Soundtrack is a bit disappointing... Apart from that, the SFX was pretty good, and enlightened the gameplay!

GAMEPLAY: 10
At first, I thought I'd be disappointed because of the new take on the gameplay. I thought it would be as the previous one, but after some time playing the game, I quickly adepted to the new gameplay, and loved how you managed to try a new way of playing for a sequel, yet make it as good as the previous installment. The enemies are very creatively made. Each one of their ability really kept me entertained throughout the whole game. This whole adventure was an extremely good idea, and again, you managed to make an awesome sequel even with this new take - very impressive. The upgrades were really cool, and some of them, unique, and the bullets being fired without bashing a button, is another great thing about this game. Very smooth gameplay, easy, and addictively great game :D

LASTING APPEAL: 7
A short game, maybe too short, which occupies you in approx 40min-60min. During that time, you're really entertained, and the upgrades makes you wanna play more and get them all. After beating the game, and getting all the upgrades, playing the whole Story Mode again with all the powers Maxed, can be extremely fun, but it only lasts for around 10 minutes. And that's about it. Great game, but should've had another mode ;)

OVERALL: 9
Like the previous Fly Hard game, this game will not disappoint you, but rather surprise you with its creative new gameplay. A fitting sequel to an excellent game, although the Soundtrack could've been improved!

We would love to see a Third Installment in the Fly Hard series, with yet another surprise, just like this game ;)
