Enjoy a sport that has been the pass-time of kings, hunters and warriors for 4000 years!

George Plimpton's Video Falconry was brought to our attention by the Judge John Hodgman podcast. Originally made for the Colecovision in 1983, we've gone to great lengths to painstakingly port one of the few existing copies.

This game is pretty funny. The gameplay is awful but that's why it's funny, the control scheme is the worst iv'e seen in my whole life. The history lesson was actually very interesting, and I also find it funny how some people didn't like the game because of the controls... clearly they didn't listen to the history button and understand why it was such crap. (P.S.: I would have gave a 8/10 but since I saw how much research and trouble this took for you guys, I thought it wouldn't be fair.

Great music and style, but sub-par gameplay

This game just fell flat. It got WAY too hard way too fast, leaving the player with no satisfaction. I admired the '80s arcade style gameplay, and the music clashed perfectly with the graphics, but all in all it didn't mold well together because of the gameplay itself. The controls can get somewhat confusing as well.

Ex: Accidentally pressing a 2 instead of a 3, which throws your whole strategy off and makes you start the level all over.

But hey, maybe this game just isn't for me.

Overall: 4/10

Look at that yaw control!

Really good game, though I didn't realize there was any real risk of losing until the later levels. I liked all the random bonus levels and the whole retro feel of the game. All in all, pretty unique, and well done.
