I feel like you stated something that everyones' been ignoring these past years. The Chuch has been weakening, and well, maybe the priests(in their defense) feel like they are lost now. Most people don't go to church where i live, and they feel a loss of purpose.

I guess it's enough said about the religious dimensions of your flash in the other comments. I just want to add, I am christian. Evangelic, not catholic, but that doesn't matter that much to me since we both believe in the same God.
I like the rather modern evangelic church service as well as the more traditional catholic one, and I like to visit both kind of divine service, specially on Easter.

As I understand it, your flash doesn't attack the faith in God in any way, nor the church itself. What makes you angry, and what you blame here, is child molesting under the cloak of the church. And you have all the right in the world to be angry about that! There is no defense in world for this shameful behavior!

You earned my highest respect for making this flash. Instead of simply ignoring these events (not only those in Genua) you use your creativity to create a meanigful flash. Especially in these days, the world - or at least Newgrounds - needs more canny flashes like this here and less insignificant random movies like so many others, not only here, everywhere in the Internet.

Substance should always have a higher standing then style, your flash follows that rule AND unite both elements in a great way, and that is why - at least in my eyes - your flash is so important!

Hard hitting, well chosen piece of music to go along with this particularly thorny issue - the majority of these priests who have offended are still out there teaching. Some of them completely escaped without people finding out what has happened at all.

Yes, it produces a poignant political and religious stirring within people and I think that would still be the case if you didn't produce the "trouser tent" behind the cassock. Just as a point of clarification, the priest would have worn a white overcoat over the black, while conducting mass.

Cold hard facts have settled in here, just for the US, but that's still a staggering amount of offences, victims, perpetrators and compensation payouts.

I do believe that there is a cover up by the Catholic church and it's not only kept to places like the US, but it's all over the world. Sadly, as the church only answers to the Pope, they won't be held accountable truly until he decrees it that the church will deal with the issue themselves and come clean.

Well I found this to be a sadly accurate flash, many priests are likely guilty of this yet only very few are ever brought to light because the kids when they are younger don't understand at the what is happening to them and why the priest should not be engaging in sexual intercourse with them. Found this to have a happy ending where he went to jail for molesting many young children too.

Sad how he kind of snapped one day and decided he would start forcing children to have sex with him a lot. For a bit more accuracy I think you should have had a few guys that he was staring at, at the school as well since when it starts you depict him as only having done females up until the end where he drags a young boy and girl into his room at the church.

Ended happily though for the victims, most of them right?

The animation was very well done with this piece. You did a nice detailed job of showing the priest starting and then finally just mentally snapping and becoming highly unstable. I wonder why it took so long for the church goers to figure it all out.

The music used was completely fitting since it sounds like music that would play for someone who is getting ready to snap or possibly die in a movie and such.

Overall, nice accuracy, sad real life story.
