did the benethe me take an acid and then played this?... also game is okay
not bad the a music in the background sounds as if it were for a GameBoyColor
On the plus side, the graphics are nice, the controls are good and everything is very cute. The main problem I have is with the difficulty. Once you've gotten the hang of it, the only real way to lose is by quitting or dying out of boredom. Robot Unicorn Attack, a similar game, works specifically because of its rapidly increasing difficulty, resulting in a fast paced and compelling game. This, on the other hand, quickly becomes a monotonous and unrewarding experience. I understand that it's partially modeled after the original website concept (a battle of attrition between you and your browser), but that doesn't mean it translates very well into game form.
where is the nyan?
It's the "Nyan" part that is addictive. I don't know if it was at the beginning or not, but I realized the "Nyan"-ing stopped, if there was one.
A Great, But Not Actually That Addictive Game
It's true, if there is a meme or current event, someone on NG will make a flash game of it.
While this is not necessarily always a good thing, ("Wikileaks: The Game", I'm looking at you) Nyan Cat: Lost In Space is one of the better-done, decent game based on a meme.
Lighthearted and fun with a simple control scheme like its veteran seeming-inspiration, "Robot Unicorn Attack", Nyan is well on its way to a Daily prize.
However, once Nyan reaches the bottom of the screen, it is extremely hard to work your way back up, making replay values more strained and the addiction not as palpable as the creator(s) insist.
