Here's a plot hole: You couldn't just jump over the fence there would have been guards all along the well lit wall. Also if any picts were anywhere near the wall they would have raised an alarm and shot shitless with arrows. Getting away with one prisoner would have been a suicide mission. Romans would not have traded one man for a decent number of prisoners.

Lastly Picts fought to the death there wouldn't have been prisoners in the first place... sigh...

I must say something to you two authors...

If your ultimate goal was to have a deep rage for Marcus in these past two episodes, you have definitely succeeded, and I congratulate you.

I must say, the two episodes of "On the Palisade" have been very good. Obviously, it seems that any watcher should feel direct sympathy or perhaps even empathy towards Quintus as he has to deal with the annoying, distracting attitude and perhaps nasally voice of Marcus (I honestly can't think of a better term to describe it). I find it strange that I continue to watch this, as I am highly disturbed by the childish, senseless stupidity of Marcus, yet, I find myself drawn to watching it.
