I'm changing the actual title of the series because frankly the title "Original Character Tournament" is too general. There are many other OCTs on the internet and this is just another of them.

The new title is called, "Dareva's Last Will OCT" because that is the name of the OCT. However I can't change the actual title in the Newgrounds submission details so it will still appear as OCT.

After a difficult process of making this animation, despite having to solve some problems with Flash, I finally finish the next part to this little mini-series. It was an interesting challenge, because this happens to be my first battle animation.

Before anyone points them out, I'll say what things that could be improved on that I'm aware of.
First, voice acting. Please don't comment on the fact that my voice needs more emotion. I'm voice acting as MYSELF, and I normally sound emotionless. I say everything as I would say them in real life and I'm trying to sound more confident in my lines. As far as the British actor, it was really hard to find a decent one. I did manage to find one but he was too busy to send me lines and cancelled out at the last minute. I had to use my dad instead.

Second, the animation itself. Self-explanatory, I'm improving.

Third, everything else which is just being nit-picky. I'm gonna have to figure out what else to improve after a few animations or so.

Anyways, thanks for watching!

I might say, you are improving since your last flash. The animating is almost fluent. The voice acting is fine. And it's still original. However, I feel you still had a few references in there. Well, you are still learning. Can't wait to see what happens next. No, I can.

First thing first: This may be nit-picky. But it's not to just take your hard work's effect down but to give you something to consider. Make you think and so on. Because hell, I'd like to see where you can get after getting some more practice. Prepare for the wall of text.

Right now animation wasn't overly great. I understand you wanted to add some epicness but it went far over the cliche line. General fighting scene with evil guy wanting to be badass as opponent and good characters just smirking etc so they can unleash some great powerful attacks, overdone names of such etc may be fitting for the anime genre this flash project was obviously based on but while in regular anime there are also more sophisticated and mature (not necessarily sex-oriented mature, I mean) elements, clicheness goes to the further plan. Here, there weren't many like that. Not to mention the fact that you can always make a good animation without using overdone bits, or tone them down - as I am sure that there are people who regard highly aforementioned cliche even if out of sentimentalism. Also, I guess it will fit just right for the younger audience who indeed just wants sparkly stuff and 'cool' attacks. But please, thing of the rest of us, poor, a bit older people who still like to watch some anime-ish fight after hard day of work or school (not to mention dealing with wives, girlfriends, whatever else may be quite stressful at times :P)

Aside from that, think of making the fighters not fall for really silly things. For example, attack of that butterfly girl - I don't know why the 'evil' guy didn't even try to check whether her portals work both ways. Or used the fact that her hand was still just there, clenching to his shirt. Regular person probably could use that to slap her like damn Shiva. Seriously, even if she would do far more cool things with her portals (why not to teleport someone's internal organs out?) she wouldn't be as powerful as portrayed if facing someone with full brain.

And, again, to counter that - there was limited amount of time and it probably had to be PG friendly so it's understandable not every trick could be used. Still, it is a thing which can be worked on.

Now, graphic and animation. Nothing special but it was watchable. I think that with more practice and enough time put in it'll turn out just fine. Keep an eye on different guides of drawing and animating things - there are techniques which, if you'll learn to use, will make the overall results really nice.

Voice acting and other sounds. For one of the first tries, it went good enough. Get a girl voice actor so the female character will be able to speak. Especially since it is to be series. Sure, you can make her mute but pulling interesting, well-developed mute character who cannot express herself through speech may be a task a bit too ambitious right now. Unless you just want to make mini-series of guys fighting all the time. Then disregard that, proceed with rumble :P

That's about it, don't have much more of the free time to bother you. Consider what I wrote, improve what you can as you said you will, show some more animations. I'll withold the score since on the one hand - it wasn't too great but for someone else who was just looking for simple fight with stereotypic characters that may make him smile, it was good enough.

AnDrew19787 responds:

I had a look back on this review again and I would like to point out some things.

This series, which is really short, isn't meant to be a full story; it's a freaking TOURNAMENT. Henceforth, LyDia will remain mute the whole time and every animation will have a fight. And what little story there will be in these animations isn't entirely up to me because not only am I not the only participant (but I'm almost the only animator participant), the host has full control over the story.

Next, while you think you're helping by giving suggestions on changing the animation CONTENT, you're not. I'm not getting paid for this or anything so I will animate what I want. If you don't like it, don't watch it. This is my way of improving my animation skills and changing the content based on the audience's desires is NOT why I got into animation. Plus, I like the PG-friendly style because anybody, even younger kids, can watch it and enjoy it. I don't mind some blood once in a while but in this style blood isn't very necessary. In this style, there WILL be anime cliches. I know people don't like watching them but making them is another story.

Finally, no one can "withhold" a review score. You gave me a zero despite trying to give me no score. Just remember that.
