Arrow Keys - Move / Aim
Z - Shoot
X - Jump
C - Change Weapons
Spacebar - Pause / Open Map

You can also use WASD to move and JKL to shoot/jump/change weapons, however on some browsers/keyboards you may run into issues with too many keys being pressed at once, nothing I can do about that.

If you have a PC Gamepad, I highly recommend using the Joy2Key Software. You can download it: here:

Saving - Progress through the stage is saved automatically at every major checkpoint. If you have to leave and come back, your progress will still be there!

Bugs - If you do find a bug, please report it to me via PM. Be as descriptive as you can, I can't fix things if I don't know what went wrong!

Sticky Keys Bug - If the keys feel like they're sticking, character keeps running after you let go, please read the third post in this thread:
This is a bug with some browsers/systems and there's really nothing I can do to fix it.

Hey, this is fun!

Excellent work! The gameplay is really fun, the sound and music are top notch, and the graphics remind me of earlier Newgrounds staples, (but with vastly improved graphics, obviously). It's nice and refreshing to see a game animated in Flash like this :)

Only thing I'd suggest is that the levels scroll instead of a screen-by-screen progression, but that's really just a matter of taste, and obviously your choice as the developer :)

Now off to explore the earlier episodes I missed!

Excellent addition to the series

Enjoying the game for its playability and excellent soundtrack, I can't wait to see the next episode, it's been a fun collection so far, and I like the little twists here and there in each part.

Pretty impressive!

At first, I thought this entry would lose points because of one of the bosses (the fire dragon and it's fireball attack, I didn't know until AFTER I beat it that you had to wall jump over its fireballs), but episode four impressed with a variety of locations, and even a clever boss fight right at the end! I think this may be my favorite episode yet, I can't wait to see episode five and six.

Other than that, this game plays pretty much like the rest of the episodes. But the technical prowess in this one gave it this extra point, so I felt it deserved it.

Keeps getting better!

Once again, some general points before commenting on the level. First of all, I see there are less complaints about the controls now. Maybe some have realized that actually aiming with the mouse would make it too easy. The truth is, that neither mouse nor 8 directional shooting is realistic: it's not realistic that you can't shoot in the direction you want, but on the other hand it wouldn't be realistic either that you could constantly shoot at a certain spot while jumping and doing all kinds of evasive maneuvers. So all in all it's just a matter of gameplay design, and I at least prefer this approach where you (eg. in Boss battles) have to find the right balance between evasions and aiming.

There is one thing I'm missing though. Aren't there any medals for this game? Those would be a nice addition! Then a more minor thing is that I think the rockets of the rocket launcher should act as real explosives and be able to hurt the nearby enemies.

Probably the best level so far. Now there is nice variation to the places and they are pretty logically interconnected. As for the graphics (that have received so many complaints from people), I think they were also better than in the earlier stages: the heat effect was nice and I think the enemies are well drawn and animated.

The ninja guy was great and the humour works pretty well too. The new powerup was also a very welcome addition to the gameplay and the last boss was very creatively crafted. Good job!

Man, that clam boss is a tough cookie, with music to match. Turns out the shotgun isn't the best weapon for that guy, after all...
