Arrow Keys - Move / Aim
Z - Shoot
X - Jump
C - Change Weapons
Spacebar - Pause / Open Map

You can also use WASD to move and JKL to shoot/jump/change weapons, however on some browsers/keyboards you may run into issues with too many keys being pressed at once, nothing I can do about that.

If you have a PC Gamepad, I highly recommend using the Joy2Key Software. You can download it: here: http://bit.ly/NCx4h

Saving - Progress through the stage is saved automatically at every major checkpoint. If you have to leave and come back, your progress will still be there!

Bugs - If you do find a bug, please report it to me via PM. Be as descriptive as you can, I can't fix things if I don't know what went wrong!

Sticky Keys Bug - If the keys feel like they're sticking, character keeps running after you let go, please read the third post in this thread: http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1123318
This is a bug with some browsers/systems and there's really nothing I can do to fix it.

free cake

I much as I like this little adventure and all its glory and greatness, has some very annoying game flaws. Accessing and upper floor you never know where is the next platform (I tried standing still and jumping straight up than moving towards area) and you fall back, all enemies respawn and they eat you. This can be such a pain in the back on hard difficulty, but the responsive and... perfect controls make up for it :D. Great music and the enemies are simply, well designed. I like the added shooting action to the "turbo tunnel" part, f$@#awesome! Id gave u 20 if I could.

graphic is not important, when gameplay is good.

Very nice concept, it bings me 15 years ago.

A thing about the voice... really cute, but with such graphic... something just a little less porn-oriented when the girl is getting hit, would fit a lot better.

I mean... if u get someone blindfolded, play a pain scream from this game and ask him what's the contest... it seems more a porn movie than a space ranger or such getting hit in the face by a plasma cannon.

in this contest the pain reactions should be more like "snarl! X< " "Sgrunt! :(" "ghwaaa! :'(" rather than "Ooooh :P" "Aaaaah :O"

Not bad

It was fun, but the controls were horrible. You really need mouse aiming for a game like this, having the aim bound to the same keys as movement made for too many situations where trying to shoot someone just sent me hurtling into a projectile that was otherwise easy to avoid. That isn't challenging, it just makes for cheap character deaths. It is a lot easier with joy2key, but still a wonky control system to get used to. Has its own unique graphic style, and a decently catchy sound track that never got annoying like a lot tend to. Voices were okay, but the whole thing just felt a bit rushed. With an optional control scheme (mouse to aim, space to jump, wasd movement) and a bit of polish it would be a real gem of a time killer.

I can definitely see where your influences lie

MegaMan, Battle Toads and Metroid.

In my opinion, the controls are spot on and par for the course for this style of game.
Level design (so far) is ok. It is a little tedious, but the original Metroid was INCREDIBLY tedious, so kudos for striking a good balance in the level design between Metroid and MegaMan.

My biggest complaint is in the art work department. If Who did the aesthetic design is 10, well then keep up the good work. You'll only get better. Otherwise find a friend who can properly design the visuals.

My second complaint is the music. Each song taken on its own is good and suits the moods of their levels/events, but an overall vibe is lacking. Find one single person to make all the music so there is an overall sense of coherence.

Your strengths obviously lie in the programming/engineering/design field, so recognize your weaknesses, focus more energy on your strengths, and get a couple people to pick up the slack.

Overall i'm having a lot of fun with the game. Favorited! :)
