The Fisherman is a movie I made this year at AKV St.Joost. I was doing a minor in animation. Being experienced with animation in the past, I thought it would be fun to make a short movie instead of a couple of tests.

It started with a very simple idea. I was going to make a movie about a fisherman who gets caught by a fish, instead of the other way around. The story evolved into a few different version. One version had the fisherman blowing up the fish with a huge bazooka, but I scrapped that one.

This is the final result. I know that in some scenes the character isn't coloured in, but I'm simply to lazy to fix that. I'm done with this little movie.

here wat i got to say

i love how cinematic the whole animation is. the angle, the mood and stuff. it's good. ur good is also not so bad, had some good animation but i hate that fish part.. cuz the fish character is not so good compared to the fisherman..

could improve on the VA, but overall, i love it. keep it up

The voice acting completely killed it.

Good job, you really know how to tell a story!

You animate well, and the narrative is dryly ironic. It was well made, and I really enjoyed it! Make moar!

this movie, I can tell, was well done. The animations were smooth, the sound and music were great, just one thing, the lining could have been more consistent with dark and light. maybe that is your art style. other than that great.

Beautiful! Tear inducing!

I wanted to give this movie a zero for being so sad!
Wonderfully done, I loved the sketchy drawings, the hyperboles, and the language used in the story. I say "Bravo!" to the maker and a thumbs up for the story.
