Don't know much about music...

but I'll try to help.

This isn't really much of a game is it? Well, this is more akin to a really short version of 20 questions. It would be as if the same question were asked and a nigh useless answer was given.

I'm no music aficionado but i think there is way too little information to work with. It would be better to actually give a few notes to work with. At least the first measure or two should be played. I understand that only using the first note will make it difficult. However, going through the entire game, there is very little distinction to be made between the first note of one song and the first note of another. Some songs seemed to have the same note with similar distortion.

Then there are the innumerable songs to choose from within that period. To make it more like a quiz, and not random guessing, you could give the player a few options to choose from. Try to narrow it down to maybe 5 or 6 artists. Now, instead of a "next" button, players will know this is a quiz and not a bad tribute flash or something like that. Doing this should at least help the music lovers this game was made for.

I hope you can update this. I'm certain that many people don't even bother reading the comments first, so they might be confused when they hear two repeated notes and then see a button appear. That would lead to people not even trying to guess because they didn't know they had too. So you could put a some brief instructions in the game as well. I know I only bothered guessing a few times... and failed horribly.

Hope that helps.
