High Tea is a strategic plate-spinning game, you play an independent British smuggler selling opium in China's Pearl Delta.

Buy cheap and sell high to make a profit, but make sure you also obtain enough tea to keep Britain happy. You have ten years before the opium wars begin - can you make your fortune?

Based on historical events, this game also shines a light on a questionable episode in the history of the British Empire.

Simlpe yet effective

I enjoyed playing the game. The game itself is very simple, buy low sell high. The trick is to balance buying opium to make more money, and buying tea to send off. I've managed to get to the last shipment of tea, but the most I've gotten by the time I lose is about 300 or so chests of tea. Since the prices sky rocket at the end, while buyers keep lowballing, I think I need to start stockpiling tea earlier. Also the crashes come at the same time, so Just save money just before them and buy non-stop while it is low. Also I had trouble keeping on top of both the prices of buying and the selling price, so sometimes I missed good deals. Fairly challenging, and addictive. Good job.

Goooooooooooooood (:

Very Interesting and enjoyable, especially when you have to get 400+ tea (: Really good fun...
Tip: Just buy and untill there is under 7 weeks left then spend all your money on tea.
Tip: Try to avoid buying opium at high prices for obvious reasons

Fun

Maybe I did something wrong but it seemed like the market really turned against me with that final order. Got to 650 with tea and ran out of money to do anything with and the english dropped me like a bad habit.
A sell ship button would definetly have been useful in those last few seconds.

Wildly entertaining

This was an interesting, educational, and all around fun game to play. I loved playing close to the chest as the game went on, having to make bets that I wouldnt get busted just to feed the British Thirst. The only thing is that I think you should be able to sell a ship at anytime rather than when you just run out of money. It would have helped me cinch the end in one try rather than 3.

Final winning stats: 128,357,760 Points for final score (retiring wealthy), 696 Billion cups of Tea delivered to the Empire, and 369 Million Chinese lives destroyed. What a terrible period in history. Surprising how it makes such a fun game.
