Bubble Tanks 1 was designed around some simple concepts: make a game that 1) allowed you to grow, 2) explore and constantly experience new things, and 3) choose your difficulty as you play by deciding how far out you want to go. Bubble Tanks 3 is the completion of that vision- New tanks will stream into your game seamlessly in the background creating a new experience and adventure each and every game.

I can't begin to tell you how much blood and sweat went into this game, but I can sum it up best with a story about our team member Jason. This past Sunday Jason was driving 2 hours from his girlfriend's place to come in to work. Michigan is very cold, and his truck hit a patch of ice and he rolled the truck over. He was upside down for 10 minutes until the police and medics could cut him out of his truck. He was alright, no scratches or bruises somehow, so when the medic asked him where to drop him off, instead of the hospital he said "Hero Interactive so I can work on Bubble Tanks!" I tell you this for two reasons: 1) God saved Jason so he could bring you this game. 2) That's how hard we ALL worked on it.

We hope you all enjoy it!

to be honest..

It isn't really as great as I hoped, I mean first of all you got the annoying little cannon dudes that are almost impossible to kill plus the machine gun lags like hell, so HeroInteractive really disappointing.

It hasn't gotten better..

When Bubble Tanks 1 first came out I was incredibly excited by the gameplay. The 3 concepts you listed were actually, in my opinion, the completion of the game. I don't quite understand what is meant by the fact that this is the completion of that vision.

To me, this version (and indeed the previous ones) have only served to complicate what was once a fantastically casual and simple game. And this form of complication has not been the good kind.

Take for instance the whole tank customization. While I do appreciate the level of detail and complexity one can modify their tanks and the idea of personalizing your bubble weapon of doom, it has gone a tad too far. Some people may appreciate the idea of long times spent tinkering with the whole editing system and coming up with the perfect super tank, but I for one think that it has made the game a little too tedious. I've played through the games several times but still have yet to move myself away from the pre-designed tanks. Even if I did create my own, I'd stick to tiny ones and just amass my favourite weapon on it.

And that's where this might have gone wrong for me. The fact that the gameplay used to be around exploring the different available tanks in the areas and seeing their effectiveness and how it has changed to whatever I want it - often times people don't have a clue what to do with such open ended-ness.

Bubble tanks 1 won me over through it's simplicity. I would've happy for more of the same, but with a slightly larger variety, or perhaps a larger playing field. Things that could've been added instead like a larger bubble, bubble tank allies, multiplayer functions would have taken the game further without compromising the simplicity and in this case ruining the fun.

Sometimes we do want the good old simple fun instead of the serious grown up version.

This game has a lot to offer! It has great variety and customization.

However, I ran into a pretty large number of annoying bugs when it came to the tank editor screen.
First off, I had entered the editor before the game was done searching for tanks, and when it found some, they forced over the editor, which made me have to quit the editor to make them go away.
Secondly, I had built my tank pretty large, and when I wanted to take some pieces off the edge, it gave me a max complexity error that just wouldn't go away! This was the most fatal flaw I encountered, and I highly recommend that you fix it in a future update.

If these bugs are fixed, the game will be worth a 10 in my eyes!
