This is on the mark! Excellent informative work. However, the clock crew montage at the end is filled with a slur. I doubt the English would've said what was said as they have had already gotten beyond slavery in the UK at that time.

Negro is not a slur. It was considered the proper term for people of sub-Saharan African origin from the 18th Century until the late 1960s.
