I prefer not to say too much about the game, as discovering the details for yourself is part of the experience. My personal thoughts about the game and its history are in the afterword, but interpreting its meaning is up to you. Everything in the game is there for a reason.

The Infinite Ocean is a Myst-style point & click adventure game. It's fairly big for a flash game, and has a lot of story, so to enjoy it you need to take your time.

You interact with the environment by left-clicking.
To turn left or right, move your mouse to the edge of the room and click on the arrow that appears.
The main menu appears at the top of the screen when you move your mouse there.
For more detailed information, read the Instructions/Help screen in the game. (Highly recommended!)

Pretty good

The story is well writen.
The music fits perfect with this game and I think it can give a really good feeling.
Although I quit after a few hours (2-3) playing I think it's a really good game if you have the free time to deal with it.
Thanks for the feelings and emotions this game gave me.
I rate it 5/5 and 8/10 cause of the music and the really good(in my opinion) story.

This is really good! While the music was kinda annoying and didn't let me focus on the reading, the puzzles were great and the story left me like, WHOA. It's all very complex and surreal. I was amazed at how you developed it, and it's all so big! I just can't find the words to describe it. You have to play it to know it. Well done, a game to remember.

Now, some questions remain unanswered like, who are you? What became of SGDS? What is the great fire? I'd apreciate if you could answer me.

Also, great philosophy in there.

That was ..... i cant put it into words

this game is truly increadble as it asks things like what is life? what is reality?
the SGDS feels pain and sadness even though it is a machine therefore raseing the
question if the soul exsits or if anything exsits as you can not tell what is reality

oh and quarantadue if hes dosnt write about its opions then whats he ment to do wait till people make a sentient A.I?

I will now leave you with a question you can not truly anser
do you exsist or does anything?

More a story than a game

This is more a book than a game(the game part has nothing more than many others similar games), so let me say my opinion about the story. If humans one day will build a machine that will think as an average human, well, that will be a great technological achievement, and will give a lot of free time to many people, but that's all. If you want to tell a story about an AI that is superior to all single humans, you should not talk about the details of this AI opinions, because you are just a normal person and if you writes this being opinions this being will look just like a normal person.

To me, the main character with which we all play is SGDS and the words on the wall are the commands from the military. I also feel that the various objects and overall environment are physical manifestations in the "mind" of SGDS to make it feel more like a physical being that can move and touch and feel. Overall an amazing game. Words can not accurately express how I feel about this piece.
