UPDATE: I'm slowed down the video almost by half, so hopefully you'll be able to read through most of the dialogue.

Happy 10/10/10 everybody, and it's time for another video celebrating a "triple date".

Unfortunately I couldn't complete it the way I wanted to, so I'm forced to release a WIP (Work in Progress) version. TRITEN is a henshin heroes project like Power Rangers or Kamen Rider, but with a more mature slant in terms of the themes being dealt.

Even though it's incomplete and it makes me sad, let's turn it upside down and this is opportunity to get some feedback. Tell me on how to improve on this project and make as best as I can, and I'll reply back if possible.

Quicky Q/A (to avoid redundancy in this subject)
1. Will I use that song "Wandering" like that in the final version?
-No, because I do not have all the voices in at this time, and I'm actually still looking for voice actors to play several of the roles. I also don't have sound effects. Would you rather watch a completely silent movie? No, unless you are planning on playing live piano. Also, that song is meant to be used for the credits only.

2. Other music?
-I have selected additional tracks, including a couple from Hungry Lucy, but I have not edited any of them to fit in their scenes.

3. No voice acting?
-There are a few roles cast, but not all of them, so they've been left off until it's all complete. I'll be holding auditions at the VAC and VAA at the beginning of November.

4. No Sound effect!
-Sound effects are usually the last thing I look for and use when I make videos. Even though I got a few from past projects, might as well be consistant. Also, I might have to make the transporter sound on my own.

5. XXX? You got no porn!
This is a funny one. The original plan was that she worked at a strip joint (10/10/10, XXX, get it?! Okay, lame pun. But hey, exception for the date in mind.), but then it got tamer with her being a sexy showgirl, then ultimately a waitress to a Hooters-like restaurant.

kinda like a visual novel

like most other reviews, the text was just too fast
you should really add a click function for the text, although that would make it less of a movie and obviously more work, but really depends on you
how things go about really reminds me of a visual novel(excluding the usual harem plot)
and from what i've seem it seems i can turn out like one
lastly the music
i'm not going to criticize nor bad mouth the song, but to be frank, it wasn't too nice, it will especially be a hindrance once you put voice acting because it's just too loud, and in my opinion simple background music is enough, the song you put can be put in an opening sequence or the ending credits or both, whichever works for you

omegafinal responds:

Yeah, that song is originally meant to be used as the ending theme, and I just needed something to cover up the dead silence from the lack of voice acting and sound effects for this unfortunate WIP version. Actually now, I'm still going back and forth as to WHAT song from that duo I want to use as an ending theme. Like I wanted to use all three versions of "Shine", because each one just fits the mood in concept for each episode.

And yeah, it wasn't a nice song, since when I listened to it at the time, it is meant to relate to what Aimee is feeling and to tie into the theme of the series. Come to think of it, the group does have a podcast where they talk about each of their songs, so I'm definitely going to check it out and see if it'll influence my song selection.

Cool stuff

The text was to fast but honestly I didn't even try to read it since there is absolutely no indication who is actually talking. then when it starts to get interesting (the armor breaks loose) We don't see any of the action. Not even tachibana flying out the window. I hope the henshin sequence is going to be player interactive. Like a 2d side scroller. This seems like a big project so I guess 11/11/11 is going to be another short look into the big picture and then the finished project 12/12/12

omegafinal responds:

lol. I already got a project set up for 11/11/11 and 12/12/12 respectively. Obviously the reason why Tachibana isn't seen thrown out the window was because I haven't completed his side set as with many others. I'm going to see if I can finish it sometime early next year with a weekly release for all three episodes, production will resume this November.

Its preety good..

This is good.. But its not very easy to read.. The words go away too soon.. And if you put voices and a little more movement it could be a very very awesome Flash!!! You got talent!! Keep it up and keep improoving.. Your on the right way..

omegafinal responds:

Yes, voice acting has been planned for this, and there'll be more stills for each of the characters to make them less static, including a running animation for Aya plowing through the officers.

voice overs?

its interesting, but either do voice overs or let the text stay a while longer so people can read it. or at least add like a click function to move on the dialog. seems more like an interactive graphic novel, which would be something interesting to see.

omegafinal responds:

The complete version will have voice acting.
