Hehe... turns out a game made in 2 and a half days upsets people... awwww shiiiit... yeah, this was a rushed game. Yeah, it's on the frontpage anyway.

I submitted the demo of this a few days ago - I didn't think I'd get a chance to finish it before Madness Day... but I did, and here's the result. As always, I wish I'd started on it earlier, because I ran out of time...

If you're having trouble during the boss battles, try killing some of the minions, in case they drop powerful weapons...

If anyone enjoys this, let me know - I might do a large version (30 levels, rather than 8...)

Credits: Gun sounds are from N_Stryker's Madness Pack. The piano clip played during the cutscenes is by Kevin McLoud - he writes public domain music - google him & check him out.

Thanks, enjoy the game.

Jump = Space

Controls are too clumped and not natural. For some reason some people like to make jump not space, which is kinda what everyone thinks space does when they play a game.

if you wanted movement to be the arrow buttons, then the Jump should have been space. shoot be D, Punch be w. Ect ect the natural buttons that most people are use to is to have the left hand at "AWSD" and the right to be Mouse or Arrow Buttons.

It's kinda like the home keys, like it is with typeing "ASDFJKL;"

As for the game itself, I do not know if you did this on purpose the jumping is very problematic with the slippery movement. its hard to jump right after the end of a jump

Needs work

The controls were just too loose for me to handle. I get that you want some blowback with the guns, and I'm totally fine with that, but it's a bit excessive when I'm sliding along a platform as I'm trying to shoot someone. When you have a platformer, you need to have well-polished, tight controls, or else the platform jumping is way more frustrating than it should be. Overall, it was fun, but the controls were really hard to get used to. 6/10, which could go up to 9 or 10 if you polished up the controls.

and the word of the day is

while finally getting an un-gimmicked madness shooter, i find myself thinking this is just a frame work of what could have been.

its ok + boss tips

idk if this is your first or not....but its kinda bad....ill give it a 6 just give us atleast 3 hits of health...annoying how you can take a boss with ease but 1 swordsman kills you in a slice.

Jebus: just shoot the hell outta him...hes shots are slow and zombies dont kill you.

Sheriff: Shoot him til he jumps then punch before he touches the ground...rinse and repeat...and you cant dodge the train,

Clown.....pathetic...does no damage to you at all...just dont land in spikes and shoot henchmen out of your way and lay wastre to clown.

yeah definitely some control issues

the jumping is just way too loose on this. Platform jumping should be little challenging but this guy just floats way too much on his jumps and its just way too hard to hit moving platforms because of this. Make the jumping a little tighter and it'd be all right.
