i like it.
it gave me the creeps. thank you sir for giving me nightmares.
dont mention it. :)
The voice acting
Just ruined it for me. Interesting concept, mildly valid argument, but the voice.. The attempt to sound ominous and on the verge of madness was just pathetic. Sounded like a bad fan dub of The Dark Knight's Joker.
Consider this score affected. I just can't listen to this and take it seriously, or even find it entertaining.
As Good as this particular animation was, and as controversial the message, i enjoyed it. Although and interesting point to note is that the responses to this video are of great interest. The reason why this is a ten is due to the good implementation of the the animation and the debate that has been fuelled in the comments. I disagree with those quick to judge on this one. I felt it was satirical and not so serious as to suggest people literally allow games to brain wash them, But the games being played do indeed form a lager part of that persons life. This doesn't suggest everyone it mealy plays with a stereotype.
The ironic thing is that although most people enjoyed your submission those that were quick to judge did it on the basis of what came off as defending themselves. This is VERY interesting, and possibly implies that you hit a nerve. Keep at it i say. Well done to a thought provoking and enjoyable piece.
thx for writing
I dont get it
I understand the brainwashing thing fine, it happens everyday with commecials. what I dont understand is the video game spin you took on it, so what if I think about the game after I play it, thats not brainwashing thats human nature. An ordinary person who finds pleasure doing somthing will think about more of it, thats not brainwashing.
The name fits.
After all, as entertainment this works. It's interesting to watch, and the art style and music makes it fun. The animation side of it feels a little misplaced as it had a sort of slide show look to it, making me think I was watching someone force people to watch a grainy video on a stained brown wall. I didn't see the whole "it's coming out of his mouth" thing coming, and it didn't really add anything to it when you did show that.
However, if you were going for something more than just entertainment it doesn't work. The argument fails because it insinuates that anything that makes you think differently is brainwashing you. Thus anything from school to books to parents and anyone with a vocalized opinion is brainwashing you. Not to mention that the "video games substitute reality" bit is rather old.
To have a madman think that way(again for the purpose entertaining us) fits perfectly, and that's sort of the point. Nothing informative here, and certainly nothing in this multimedia that's brainwashing us at all.
Thanks for showing us.
