Epic mode Guide V3.0
Before checking my medals, no I did not beat it on Newgrounds, my game keeps getting deleted, but I beat it just about everywhere else it was.
---Do not read on if you don't want what little story there is here spoiled!---
First off, as the game starts get all the chests you can in the town save the ones in the locked house, this will let you upgrade the Gaea Axe, Heavy Claw, Flower headpiece and red-mage armor to level 2 before your first fight, if you don't know where they all are, just look around for the obvious ones, the harder to find ones are in the east of the Inn, and behind the shop's two signs.
Collect all available quests and equip Heavy claw, Gaea Axe and red armor.
The battle styles are yours to choose from here on, but i recommend a Physical Lance, earth element Matt, and fire Natz for the forest. All bush and crab enemies should die in one hit to tremor, while you should try to leave Flying and Green-blob enemies to nat and lance. At the point of giant green slimes you can choose to make Lance elemental/fire/bomb, which is a VERY good idea (Especially in the Desert) but physical is very powerful against all bosses, and the first is no exception.
You should try not spending any point in skills after the obvious (Matt: Nettle, Nat: Fire, Lance: Snipe.) until you have enough to unlock your first super move, and then do so.
During giant slime fights Use Matt to temper Lance, Nat should use fire over and over and make lance double shot the slime to death, usually works well given Lance is wearing Heavy Claw, if not use fire-shot and do NOT temper him, its magic!
The first boss can be taken down easily provided you have all super moves up at once. Use Nat's super, then Lance's super, then Matt's super. Doing so will kill all small enemies, bring the boss to about 75%, and give you pre-battle buffs. During the actual battle have Matt tremor/quake the boss at all times, have Natz use fire on smaller enemies or beer on allies, and have Lance use beer-augmented Double shots on the boss. He should fall in less than 10 turns.
I would provide step by step instructions for levels 2, 3 and four, but after the first its all pretty elemental, I'll just do bosses instead.
Boss 2-Giant Squidopuss: Kill all side enemies right off the bat, use temper on Lance as he unloads (you should have this by now) on the boss, every time he does it the boss's defense should drop 10-20% (With heavy claw on) and Lances attack also drops. Temper and unload every turn. If Natt has the Nirvana equipped at this time, unleash until the boss is poisoned to 9 stacks, keeping up constant unloads and a 9 stacks will kill him fast.
Boss 3-Mammophant: If Nat has the dream catcher on, she cant be debuffed so that's nice to have. Basically buff up all defenses and keep regen up, Poison the mammoth to 9 stacks and do whatever it takes to kill all side enemies, they are REALLY hard. Once he is poisoned there is no real need to hit him anymore, just kill all enemies, defend, buff and heal until dead.
Boss 4-Sand Tank: Probably the endgame wall for many players, this guy messes up almost all strategies with his constant damage and debuffs. I usually rely on a bit of luck here. Enter the fight with all super move bars at max, Making sure to use Nat's first you should do fine with any others. Boss is really weak against bomb as a Magic Lance, but physical Lance with constant Temper support can Kill him a little bit faster. Make sure to rebuff after he uses his laser, or wear debuff resistant gear.
Boss 5-Dragons o' Death: Wear fire resistance gear to at least 60%, poison the bottom one to 9, equip Deep Blue, Temper-unload Middle dragon after the bottom is dead, Debuff them whenever buffed and Bless-Judgment the top until dead. Pretty simple for a Crazy boss fight.
Akron: Wear darkness resist to 100%, no exceptions. Buff to sub-max stats at all times. Buff evade to 60% and debuff accuracy of enemies to -50%. Wear death resistance, Poison him to 9 whenever he is weak to it. Kill iron claws whenever possible or they will heal.
And have skill... :D
the point of the game is kinda gone...
the old games where great cuz they more or less made fun of the slow
story and grinding process in all those plain and generic rpgs.
but this time it just IS a plain and generic rpg. art and animation may be pretty cool,
but other than that... there isn't much new to the game. it's just another rpg.
i actualy like your older games better
great man - cant kill tundra mamoth STILL GREAAAT GAMMMMMMMMEEEEEE
