A short explanation (better read after watching;)

Shortness - yes it is short, about 1 minute length. It was meant to be short. I made this film for a 30 seconds movie contest, and then made this longer vesion of it, because the previous version didn't captured the feeling i wanted. Well, it could be even longer than this, but i think that one minute is enough to tell what i wanted this time.

Simplicity - The world is full of complicated things, and i often get a need for simplicity, for something calming. I like simple things they are like counterweight to these complicated. The story is very very simple, but touches an interesting point for me.

By the way, have you ever played games such as "Ico" or "Shadow of the colossus"? Their stories are very simple, but they touch you so deeply.

The meaning - some people may think that what they see is just random scenes: somebody drowns, somebody gets born. I tried to put an actual meaning behind this, but i don't know if i succeded enought. I was concidering every scene, every scene is important and has a meaning. The plot is like a little puzzle for the viewer, because if i made it absolutely clear, there would be no challenge, it would get too simple. Now the viewer gets abibility to think about it and find his own interpretation.

Plot explanation - the first character dies in his worl (sky) is born as a human child in our world (ground). The water symbolises a gate between two worlds. And the fish he sees is the last wiew from the former dimension. He will not be able to see it anymore. Until he dies and is born there again.

I agree that this movie could be better and has some holes. Thank you for reviewing! Both possitive end negative criticism is important to me. (And sorry for my bad english:)

Pretty nice for an animation and makes sense to some degree, but doesn't explain how the person who dies and gets reincarnated fell into the ocean in the first place. Other that, you've done a swell job at making this, so good for you.

Hmmm...

I would say "Seems to me that this is a little deeper then what people are giving it credit for. The little kid, who didn't know how to swim jumped into the water and just before dying, he re-experienced birth; remembering his entire life from start to finish in a complete retrospective during the final moments of his life.

Only we don't get to see the entire retrospective of his life and only a few minutes after he was born, which is why everyone is shaking their fists at it.

This was probably more intended as a graphically artistic piece and not as one intended for self expression. Just looking at it I can tell that it was created for visuals and not for plot; Lemoon probably just ended up throwing some philosophy at it to try and give what is otherwise just an animatic some depth and reason to it."

If it weren't for the reincarnation explanation in the description that makes hardly any sense. If he intended to commit suicide, then for what reason would the kid commit suicide? Was he really being foolish or did he intend to die? Regardless of what his intentions were, it seems to me that he was having remorse, pretty much immediately after he jumped in.

You also can't seem to make up your mind as to what you intended this flash to be; first you say that you wanted this flash movie to simplify complicated issues, but then you turn around and tell us that it would be too easy for us if you made the meaning behind it transparent and the movie would lose it's complexity and furthermore it's point.

I think you need to erase about 95% of what's in your description box, because an artistic piece is at it's greatest when you let your audience interpret for themselves what it's about as opposed to this weird philosophy that tends to stumble over itself that you've augmented to it.

The animation was nice though.

My first reaction was....

Mother of God.....

5/5 10/10 Because you blew my mind!

Interesting

While very simple, it tells an interesting story. You could have done a bit betting on the animation, otherwise great!
