Layer testing

Thanks for watching my flash, this is a test for layers, and backgrounds; if you don't like it, please give me advice on how I can improve, I'm always looking to improve my skills.
Too those who haven't seen my other flashes, this is a huge step up; previous flashes didn't have color, layers, and "Gasps" a replay button, something I just had to had to this.

And to those who have previously seen my flashes, this also has 18 frames per second, and pretty big jump up since the last 2. Layers added a lot more depth, and made this look great, everyone who is helping me out gets a big thumbs up from me.

Note: Whoops, looks like the music overlaps itself when you replay; anyone have a solution to this?

make it smoother

obviously you are trying :D thats all we can say right? of course its not like xombie or some other godlike flash submissions but keep working at it and you will prevail

semeieseed responds:

Thanks for the review, I'm still working hard at getting better at flash, it takes time and effort. In the end it will be totally worth it.

sorry D:

this is bad VERY

semeieseed responds:

well at least you didn't give it a zero :3

Ok.....

Well it maybe be bad...... and you have a loong way to gooo

anyways just put the code

stopAllSounds();

In the first frame it stops all currently playing sounds so that when you replay the sound from the first play will stop

semeieseed responds:

Thanks for the code :)
I know I have a ways to go :P

You seem a little new to flash

Here are some pointers that might seem helpful.

1.stop(); command. I noticed that your animation repeated itself at the end with the Replay button. If you insert a new layer, insert a blank keyframe where you want it to stop and type stop(); in the actions tab (hotkey f9) the animation will stop there.

2.Restarting the movie at "Replay". Lets say the start button is on frame 1 and the movie starts on frame 2. If you use the go to and stop code on your button

on(release){
gotoAndPlay(2);
}

The movie will start without you needing to press the start button. The number is the frame you want it to start on when the button is pushed. This function works with the stop(); command so you can stop at the Replay button and replay without having to use the start button.

Use this knowledge wisely young grasshopper. If you have any problems, send me a PM. Go forth and make animations that rock \m/

The GodOfVideoGames hath spoken.

semeieseed responds:

ah I see, I forgot to put stop();
and the automatic start is a good idea as well

Thanks a lot, and I will keep working to make "Flashes that rock"

Don't use sticks.

Stay away from stick figures, they're already overdone, and you need to be really good to make them look at all impressive or original.

semeieseed responds:

I'm not working on anything serious right now, just getting my way around flash
