Strange New World

Strange New World is a find the difference game that I collaborated with TheRealShadman to create. It is based off of his Newgrounds Art Portal submission, "A Strange New World" (you can see the original here /art/view/therealshadman/
a-strange-new-world). We thought this image would make an incredible story based Find The Difference game.

In Strange New World there are 9 levels in total and 5 differences in each. Solve each level to uncover the secrets of the "Strange New World". It goes in the same sequence as TheRealShadmans original piece so you can follow the story by solving each level. To uncover a difference simply click on it with your mouse. Press P to pause and M to mute the music. Can't solve a level? Simply click the walkthrough link in game for the full solutions.

A decent find-the-differences game that thankfully didn't turn into a pixel hunt as these games often do.
A few things: Some of these differences seem a little repetitive, such as the Captain's buckle or buttons.
Then there's the border. Artistic as it is, these border often lend themselves to imperceptions of the eye and make things appear different when they aren't. Just a thought.

As stated in other reviews, it was abrupt, but you couldn't help that.

I loved the Haters Gonna Hate walk in the second to last picture, just so you know; and he needs to sew his buttons on a bit better... well, in the afterlife, anyway.

oh my....

actuallyi like those kinda game, but it ran slow as hell, no idea why. and on the second level it would not accept the 5th mistake. and it was an obvious one. *thumbs down*

one giant plot hole

Very nice, and i loved the artwork, but it just ended to abruptly. you had a great story going and i was waiting for more but, i was really disappointed by the ending. you would have gotten a higher score, but (im not saying you actually did this) it seems like you were working on it and just got bored half way through and just ended it. i'd love to see more, but just try and make the story with more content and a better ending. (and no, the abrupt ending does NOT make the story go "haha")

The story follows the original image precisely. I can see how you would feel it did end abruptly though but I wasn't going to change the original piece of art specifically for this game. Thanks for reviewing! I'm glad to see a variety of opinions.

Well done.

I really used to like these games. Not so much anymore, but well done nonetheless.
There was at least one mistake. On the pirate / captain looking through his telescope picture, there's a star near the top left (2nd from the right in the set of 4) that's missing in one picture, but isn't counted as missing when clicked.
