WOW FRONTPAGE!! THANKS, we'd nearly given up hope! Thank you so much ^_^
Thanks fo these great reviews and daily fourth! we'll try to respond to as many as we can!
There's a couple reviews debating the naming of the animation or antagonist, apologies for not making it clear;
As the cat in the hat was the only character in the movie relating to Dr Seuss, we felt it was fitting that he should be the embodiment of the name. We used the Cat in the Hat (possibly the most recognisable of Dr. Seuss' creations) as a representative, we are well aware that they are separate people/things/pseudonyms. Sorry for that confusion! :)

Doctor Seuss. Oh, really? Doctor of what, might I ask? Well, I did ask. And this is what I came up with.

After doodling up a quick script and finding some voice talent at the Voice Acting Club, I entrusted the rest of the project to TheThingy5, who promptly animated for months and months while I sat on my butt playing Bombliss on the NES. Occasionally, I'd forget all about this project. But now it's complete, and I'm absolutely thrilled. I'll stop talking soon because no one wants to spend more time reading the description than watching the animation, but first I just want to give a huge thanks to TheThingy5 and all of our wonderful voice actors, without whom this animation wouldn't exist. Hooray for them!

Firstly i'd just like to apologise for the scruffiness of the first minute or so of the animation, i was trying out a new style and it took a while to get used to.
You can adjust the quality by right clicking the flash, this is because the beginning is especially graphically heavy and may lag.
The total frames are 6898 at 24 fps and run time is about 4 mins.
Anyway it was a real pleasure to work on such a fantastic script by DarkLink and with the brilliant talent of all the actors, I hope i've done it justice.
BTW there IS an easter egg at the end! if you can find it ;)

Cat In The Hat envisioned as a psychotic serial killer, reeaallllly messed up but it was fun to watch. Perfect rhyming, voice acting was really good, graphics were awesome and fitted perfectly with the animation. Cat In The Hat's laugh at the end was very creepy and made me think that he was a serial killer. If that is the case you should make more like this, keep it up.

really good

really great animation, though it seems to move a bit too much at points, it does display a lot of life, and the animation tell a quite ridiculous story very well. the voice acting as very good, and the atmosphere and tone set were great. i like the way when the cat is on top of the "victim" he is perched there just like a cat. lol.
i found the easter egg... was that person serious? easily the strangest voice acting i've ever heard.

CatFat responds:

Haha we're really not sure if he was serious, that's what makes it so peculiar.
Thanks for your positive comments :)

Loved it. The rhymes were well crafted, I laughed and smiled the entire way through. I like how the beginning looks like a serious film, and it sorta is, and then Dr Suess comes along and even though it is meant to be serious, you can't help but laugh.

The characters were dynamic, well drawn and animated. The script and voice acting were commendable, I loved the insane character you gave him.

5/5, well done.

lol at one third of no time
