Hey! To start this decade right, we believe Newgrounds should be ad-free for EVERYONE. For this to work, we need people who have the means to become paying supporters. For just $3 per month or $25 for the year, you can help this happen and get some nice perks!

For the month of January we have disabled ads on all E-M content. We need 170 people to reach our January goal of 3,000 active supporters. If we hit that, we'll continue with a new goal in February!

I thought it would be interesting to merge the concepts of several classic block based puzzle games together. Tetrabreak is a classically styled puzzle game with a twist. As you organize falling blocks your goal is not to clear lines. But rather to match the blocks based on their color. A combination of 4 or more will be removed from the screen once created.

Blocks will fall down from the top of screen, as they appear move them left and right using the left and right arrow keys, move them down by pressing the down arrow key, and change their rotation by pressing the up arrow key. Instantly drop the blocks with the space bar. You will notice the blocks are random colors, your goal is to create combinations of colored blocks. When you manage to get a combination (any 4 same colored blocks linked together) they will be removed from the playing field instantly. Press P to pause and M to mute the audio.

Pretty good game, but...

I would seriously suggest offering an option to shut off the semi-transparent "end result" indicator. Some people might like it, but I found it to be both distracting and disorienting. Nothing amazingly spectacular, but fun nonetheless. Decent job making a fun hybrid game. :)
