Climbing up the stairway in search of revelation, a lone traveler defies a spiteful god residing at the top of the world. Unamused, the indignant deity lays down increasingly difficult laws designed to kill his unwelcome visitor as he ascends toward the moonlit skies. Can you make it to the very top and discover the secrets of this divine structure? May heaven grant you fortune.

Eight-Bit Beauty

Yet another game I've seen with more pixelated graphics, and proves that not only are greatly detailed graphics not always better, but sometimes it just seems right not to have such detail. And despite being short, I feel a deep story coming from the game. And the music was just awesome! I'll probably get the OST! Some of those challenges were hard at first, but after some practice they became...hard. Eh, I did it anyway. I won.

I've been seeing great pixel games ever since my friend showed me Cave Story, a fantastic game. Not bad, man, not bad.

Easily one of the best games on this site.

I don't know where to start with describing just how good this game is. The platforming is fun, it has JUST the right level of difficulty, the look and sound are perfect to bring back that old Game Boy nostalgia, and everything in between just make this one of the best experiences I've ever had on the Newgrounds. So, so very good. My only complaint would be that my computer starts to lag with the game once it gets to level 11, but that's just me playing on an old crap computer, because it handled perfectly on a friend's laptop.

Thanks a lot! And yeah, I wish the game had been more optimized for slower computers. One would think such a retro looking game wouldn't use up so many resources on a modern computer...

This game is difficult, but it a good way. I love the story, music, and the added rules on each floor never make it seem like you're doing the same thing as in every other platformer out there.

"I wanna be the Simon Says"... that's pretty much what this was, and I LOVED it. The style was great, the "rules" concept was inventive and interesting. It was the best straight up platformer I've played since "I wanna be the guy". The style was full on GameBoy game, and really brought back memories of early Bomberman titles. The music was awesome (though I'm afraid I can't give you a dollar for it, it's beyond my means)

I urge you to create a longer, second go at this. The only flaw, and I mean only, was it's short length.

Hmmm, there's no plans for a sequel at this time, but we'll see...

Just plain awsome

I loved this game. really took me back with its old GB style.
the level difficulty was perfect. It really was a test of your skill and not a test of how well you can remember where hidden traps were placed. Music was extremly catchy. Ive been listening to the same loop in the editor for atleast an hour and im still humming along. You got my buck good sir.

wow and my level cant fit into this review...
