Rush to the Horizon

Rush to the Horizon is an active running survival title with uncluttered graphics inspired from canabalt in which you control a video game main character who wants to flee above his world's limits to quit it.

Controls :
X to jump
D to dash and kill the ennemies
Left and Right arrow to move your character into the screen
O to activate/desactivate the sound and P to pause the game

You should pay attention to the camera's movement, which is a key part of the gameplay adding some difficulty to the whole thing.

Fun game

I saw a man pursuing the horizon;
Round and round they sped.
I was disturbed at this;
I accosted the man.
"It is futile," I said,
"You can never -"

"You lie," he cried,
And ran on.

Alright game

I respect the fact that you didnt want to copy ideas from another game. This game has enough to hold up by its own so you dnt need to copy ideas.

I'm lovin' it

Though a bit hard to get used to at first, it's quite enjoyable and hard. However, I find the music infuriating, and had it turned off the whole time. Nice work, anyhow!

while it was smooth playing, the controls felt "wierd" why not have up as jump? why allow the character to run too slow by himself that the screen scrolls by him? The music unmutes everytime there's a new game.

Thanks for reporting this bug. It has been removed and the version of the game updated using mochi live update, but it might take some time to be effective.

About the controls : this is our first game. Well, we've taken notes for the next one ^^'.
About the gameplay : with a camera centered on the character, everyone was saying we were stealing canabalt's concept and we thought it wouldn't have been received well.

I like it

It has nice graphics pretty cool controls I say you did a great game

Valerien responds:

Thanks if you really think so ;)
