Let the blood be your guide is a project that originally started out as me putting a shooter element into my platform engine. Well, that was the easy part. Placing enemies was the hard and buggy part. A lot of programmers can probably relate :).
Well, once I got the enemies in, it was a pretty easy ride from there. I expanded the level, added some scenery, and added the limited field of vision. It was all extremely fun to make, and I hope you guys think it's fun to play. Music by SoundsOfEscape.

NOTE: One major bug fixed. It looks like the player could fall through the stage at one point. I have no idea what caused this, but it should be fixed. If you get anymore bugs like this, PLEASE PM me.

I- I don't, what is this game?! It doesn't make sense and is barely playable. It is extremely dull, doesn't have a single sound effect, I repeatedly found myself walking into a FUCKING WALL when thinking it wasn't a wall, and it was just plain bad. Like, wow. And the "music" is just an 8 secconds ambience loop. This game is boring, un playable, and just plain confusing. It had potential, but turn out sucking. Bro, find another design fast, or your chances of being able to make decent games is LOOOOOOW.

Title not well chosen.. is "let the blood be your guide, but there seems to me at best a shaky relation between the red outlines and solid ground. Sometimes it's a length above the red line, sometimes the character just falls through (endlessly).

Judging from the fact that the character is obscured when falling through red-lined objects, the animation of the objects is there but there's an indiscrepancy. Something to do with layers? (I don't know how this stuff works)

There was also no evidence of being able to actually shoot the enemies (I assume that's the round, red, grinning things). The bullets just pass through.

bd1000 responds:

This bug should be fixed. It should be playable, now.

It's a simple but very addictive game! I liked the ending and played the game a second time to see the other ending!!
