Once upon a time there was a great magical performer who entertained crowds with his tricks and illusions.

But when the one he loved died, he stopped performing and lost the will to live...

...until one night he had a dream...

nice art

I have to agree with the few negative points in other reviews:
art-wise this is great, but the gameplay and controls start to REALLY frustrate you on the fire level..and because of this I won't see the conclusion to the story!
fix all these little problems, and you have a great game.

Very simple idea and very well executed i agree the end Wake up was weak but if you take the fact that this was a dream and he was basicly getting messages from loved one the end wake up could mean Wake up move past me i love you but the show must go on you know?

I really liked this...

Honestly, I really liked the story. It was really touching...

Made me a bit teary eyed, and made me think of all who I had lost and made me think about my fear of death. "Death is just transformation"... I really liked that line. A lot. It made me smile a bit.

I loved alot about tihs game, really. The song, the story, the art.. All of it, I think really went well together. It's a little vague, just going from what the game tells you... But I like that about it. It just makes it easier to relate, in my opinion, and that's always a plus.

There were a few things that sorta made me frustrated, however. Like the jumping for example... That sorta made me mad.
The ending sorta bothered me to. Just.. "Wake up"... I mean, everything before that I really liked but I felt just that text was sorta a weak note to end it on. I felt more could have been done to really tie it in. In fact, that's really the only reason I rated it a 9 and not a 10...

I digress. I really liked this game, just wish it had a stronger ending.

in the snow level when you convert into a mole and when you get eated and converted again in mole there is a hole in the floor with a never ending fall, fix it

Im finding a lot of nice artsy games on newgrounds.
But through the nice music and beautiful artwork lies a short, crappy game.
Im not saying these games are bad, its just I spend so much more time playing games that are addicting and fun, not games that have serious meaning,
accompanied by easy listening music.
The transformations were fun, but got frustrating by the jungle part
By the fire part it had transformed in to a shitty platformer
I dont want to sound like some action nut who doesn't think a game is good unless there is violence. Coma had a great story, and Walk was addicting.
This game falls short of both
