The official music video for "The Faster the Treadmill" by I Fight Dragons!

I began work on this shortly after completing Grumatorium, and it was a pretty intense project. The band utilizes a lot of game controllers and NES era material into their music and performances so I approached this video from a similar perspective, starting by designing and animating gameplay from a fictional 8-bit game that the video would take place in.

The result was "the Adventures of Puddlenaut," in which a shark-armed diver hero does battle with deep sea creatures in order to mine mystical power crystals that are abundant in the underwater kingdom. The main grunt enemies, one of which is the protagonist of the video, were modeled after drowned fetuses since I couldn't find any deep sea creatures to fit the image I was looking for. Thus I ended up calling the main character "Fetusaur" throughout production.

Can't talk, too busy watching it again

I usually write long, convoluted ratings about pros and cons and blah blah blah nothing anyone wants to read, but here there's not much to say except 'That was AWESOME!'

I saw the picture of the little winged dude (Fetusaur?) on the front page and thought it was adorable, which was what initially attracted me to this flash movie, and I was not disappointed. I was expecting something purely cute and 'fuzzy,' which was what I wanted, but was pleasantly surprised that it was more than that. It WAS adorable, but it was also thought provoking and INTERESTING. So many flash videos I wish they'd just skip to the end so I could see how it turns out, but I actually didn't want this one to end. It also ended well, to me, and I couldn't help but grin like an idiot.

TL;DR -- Why waste your time reading this when you could watch it again?

One of the BEST videos I have EVER seen on this website, nevermind THE BEST, 10/10 and 5/5, any other scores should be considered a crime against nature, after watching this I literally said WOW.

That was Perfectly Amazing!

That was, just awesome!
That was, the coolest thing I've seen in a while!
That was, the equivalent of being handed a thousand dollars in flash form!
and that was, something I am very thankful for!

Just awesome and Cute!

I like the the fact that it changes form side-scroller to 3D.

I have been given my awesomeness quota for the week. Also, this song, as soon as I can find a good place to get it, is going on my iPod.

The animation was flawless, and perfectly timed to the music.

Other than that, I have nothing to say.
