Treasure Tower

Treasure Tower is a platform game that's never the same twice. Every floor of the tower is randomly picked from a pool of over two hundred possibilities, each one having its own unique obstacles and enemies. There are ten towers that range in difficulty in theme, as well as fifteen Time Attack courses where players can compete to finish in as short a time as possible while collecting the most treasure.

This game is played with the keyboard - use the arrow keys to move, and Shift to jump or to select menu options. Press Up to enter doorways, and Up or Down to activate switches.

Avoid the ghosts that haunt the tower, and try to collect as much of the treasure scattered throughout the rooms as you can on the way to the top. Collect food when it appears to reset the clock and stay alive for another little while...

This is a Flash port of a Windows game that I made in 2006.

Collector is EVIL. -1.5 stars from otherwise awesome game.

very good game!

a very good game!

I loved the retro style graphics and sound effects of this. Reminded me a lot of old computer games I used to enjoy a lot when I was young. The gameplay was pretty solid but didn't have really anything in it to keep it still fun after a while. The graphics style was well detailed and nicely colored. I wasn't much of a fan of the music though, a mute button would be handy.

DavidXN responds:

The music did tend to drive some people crazy (including me, when I was testing this) - if you hover over the notes icon at the top left of the course selection screen, you'll find an option to "Please make it stop"!

Fun buuuuuttt.......

It was fun, but there was only one flaw that could make the game play even better, A) dont' do shift, I know people say not to complain about this, but sticky keys is ANNOYING and no one wants to have to go through all the menus in their computer and change that, just do x and z for controls in 2 button games and B) you should be able to jump and move, that really threw me off, you would have to let go of the arrow key, and then press jump, and then press the key again, just make it simple and let people move and jump, even if you're trying to make it challenging, that is NOT a good way to make a game challenging, people don't want someone who has motor skill problems.

But again, it was fun besides all this 9/10, 5/5 (I can't do decimals otherwise it would be 4.5)

DavidXN responds:

That's an odd problem with not being able to jump and move simultaneously - it doesn't happen on any keyboard/computer that I've tried the game on, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was somehow related to my using Shift for the jump key as well. I'll certainly move that over to X or something when I update the game!

Love it

This game is incredible. Amazing job.
