A math definition is coded in strange symbols. You need to drag the letters to replace the symbols and construct the original text. Use the math vocabulary word at top to help you properly reconstruct the definition. Click on the Hint button if you get stuck.

Practice your math vocabulary skills while having fun. Try to decypher the code in record time. You can use up to 5 hints to help you. Enjoy!

nice crypto game with the math vocab clues being a very strong hint. would like it better if the symbols were scrambled for each game rather than being the same substitution over and over.

How are we supposed to find out what letter goes where???

mathnook responds:

Hitting the Hint button will put letters where they are supposed to go or change letters that are wrong.

too easy

you should really put a limit on the hints it makes it too easy, aside from that im just not into math

mathnook responds:

Thanks for the constructive comment. I may do that. As a game player I want to do that but the math person here may nix that idea since it is supposed to be a math game first.

I took your advice and limited the number of hints to 5. Makes it a much more challenging game.

Your answer for Array is wrong

"or" should be "of"

Anyway, my biggest beef is that I can keep getting the same few words over and over without getting to new ones. I got array seven times before getting nonagon once. Add something so that you can't get the same word twice until you've gotten each word once.

mathnook responds:

I will definitely check that out. It is random but I've seen Flash's random function often not behave very randomly. Thanks for the heads up.

Edit: I've uploaded a new version with the "or" changed to "of" and am going to fire my proofreader. Just kidding as she is actually family. The random fix will take a bit longer. Thanks again.

Edit 2: Random issue fixed with no repeats.

a bit tough

because some definitions (puzzles) are not as formal as seen in texts

mathnook responds:

I'll pass that by the education expert here as I'm just the dumb programmer! :-) Actually I think these definitions are the standard ones found on many of the state math tests.
