Dr. Sweetvalley and the Broken Time Machine

My first game designed for public distribution. All feedback is highly appreciated.

Story:

Dr. Sweetvalley was performing a test run with his time machine. He ended up crashing the time machine and now he is trapped in the space time continuum.

The situation seems desperate, but not all hope is lost. Dr. Sweetvalley managed to put together a small probe from the wreckage parts he can use to salvage all the lost time machine parts.

Your job is to guide the probe and find the time machine parts scattered around numerous levels.

Good luck!

Nice attempt. But it needs a lot of things to make it playable.

First, and this is the easiest thing to fix, allow the player to get past the continue button with the keyboard instead of just the mouse. If you don't do this, the keyboard controls in the rest of the game are for nothing.

Second, you gotta make the isometry less ambiguous. Maybe have a color code so you can tell what height a block is at. And make everything transparent so blocks can't block other blocks.

On level 12, I glitched into a wall by going down through a portal when the exit portal was right on top of a wall. I could move out of the wall, but strangely enough I could move right back into it.

Very cute style

But I had to go back to look at instructions at level 2 and when I got back to the level the game was frozen, couldn't move anymore!

Thanks for the info. I tried to do the same thing myself and the game didn't froze. Strange.

Put the song on audio portal!!

Love the song! And the game is good to!

Intresting

The game uses interesting mechanics to execute itself. I thought the music was reminiscent of Final Fantasy somehow. Keep it up, good game,

plokk responds:

Thank you for your feedback. I have come to the conclusion that the machanics might even be a bit too interesting. Maybe the gameplay will be a bit more simple in my next game.
