SIEGE - The Turkish assault on the island of Malta in 1565

I've been working on this College assignment for the past Eight Weeks or so and was inspired by one of my country's iconic events in its history - the Great Siege of Malta. The island was invaded by the Turkish armada as they attempted to take advantage of the strategic location which - if they succeeded -would have enabled them to easily invade the rest of Europe.

Keeping that theme in mind, I decided to give both the Turks' arrival and the Knights' struggle to defend the island a fantasy twist to give it a sense of authenticity and, at the same time, allowing it to appeal to a younger audience.

The music for 'Siege' was composed by 'thatcomposerguy'. All reviews and feedback is greatly appreciated as I would like to include some in the 'evaluation' section of my project :)

Nice Animation!

BoMbLu responds:

Thanks!

Typical...

Yeah the turks are evil bone faced monsters led by some weird dragon thingie against noble knights in white. I'd be offended if i wasn't used to this kind of racism.

I didn't like the animation or the prejudice against people you don't know shit about. I kinda liked the music though so 4/10 from me.

but why?

starts of really good, then goes the same way 300 does.
Would have been much better without all the weird magic beasties appearing, if you already say this is meant to b the siege of malta.
But thats probably got to do with taste, cause except for that def. a good flash = P

Loved it

Great flash.Awsome music.Nothing more

There must be...

There must be moon and a star on our flag not just moon okay? please search national flags before you making other flashes.

BoMbLu responds:

The animation is not historically correct, I simply drew inspiration from the event - I kept the flags minimal (the knights have a simple red flag which is also historically incorrect). They are there to symbolize the two armadas.
