Nothing Special
Since you said it's an experimental game, I'll focus my thoughts on how to improve instead of criticizing the game.
The only thing going for it right now is the new illumination system. Maybe I'm wrong but it's the first time I see that.
However, that alone isn't going to make your game something special. And it gets repetitive after a while. So maybe throw in some classical maze levels in between, and some variations so it doesn't get boring. Also when the lights were turned out the screen was black, and when they were turned back on the background would white. After a while a black/white contrast will hurt your eyes.
This game needs music, those sounds got annoying. (too annoying)
Then there's the usual stuff that turns good games into great games, they aren't exactly NEEDED but they would be greatly appreciated:
-Level Editor
-Something to give replay value: achievements
So, if you want to go on with this game, then do it, but you'll need to do a lot of work. Good luck in the future man ;)
PS: I loved the fact that the game was cheater's free. It's the first maze game like that. (that I know of)
