Here's a little space invader blast'em up action for you. Nothing original I know, but I always fancied making one of these and if people like it I'll make the next version better! Thanks to Clayster for the great sprites.

Yea not bad

I have a thing for games like this, it needed to be a bit faster paced, and not have that player ship explosion :P good job

Nice.

I'm in the middle of making a scrolling shooter myself. Gave my some ideas. :) Very nice.

Not bad

As you said. Nothin new. But it's nice game. A bit too easy at the begining. You might add some new power-ups in the next version and more bossses I think.

Good!

I liked it a lot! There were a few things I noticed.

The shooting sound was loud and overpowered whatever music you had playing. I assume that most players will simply hold down left click and shoot constantly. Dumb that down a little.

Ammo, if you don't want us firing infinitely I'd suggest putting a limit on munitions and giving us more boxes to pick up.

I also didn't like how the movement of my mouse and the ship weren't one for one. The ship would have to keep up with my mouse and as it got closer to it, it would slow down. I guess I would enjoy it more if the mouse and ship moved the same speed and distance.

Back to the munitions, I had a little trouble seeing the enemy bullets, I realize that's the whole point of the game is to dodge those, but I really did have some trouble, maybe it just came down to me constantly shooting and my ship moving differently from my mouse that made that seem more ambiguous. Good work all in all. I'm sure it will pass judgment.
