I like it the game the dificult is aweosome but in the minimun bar of life of boss, the mines i can t still move.
I use my 5 rest life for beat him and this minor life

NEWGROUNDS METAL SLUG!?
I did feel it had some problems though.
Now I'm all for challenge and I don't write off the game for that but the boss just attacks too fast. It's a ridiculous idea trying to juggle the uberkid adds and all of the boss's attacks perfectly.
My Suggestion is to slow down the boss's attacks, you can have a beam of energy pop out isntantly like before but just give the player more warning such as a Charge-up phase. To compensate for the slower attacks you could give the boss more health, half the time I'm shooting at the uberkids anyways.
That was another problem I felt, there were to many little bastards coming in from the sides; most of the time i'm shooting them, but not for the powerups but because how dangerous their added attacks can be and the fact that they respawn instantly. They just NEVER stop coming and always add that extra bullshit factor I feel when I get shot after jumping to avoid a boss attack.
Maybe add a Respawn timer for the uberkids and make their attacks a bit slower because to be honest I'd rather focus on the boss and all the shit he can throw at me. If you can't do that, then atleast make them die in ONE HIT so they're easy to kill even though they pop up so often.
Here's a bug I saw as well, sometimes they don't even go on screen; I kill an uberkid and he drops a powerup, I go to pick up the powerup and I get Shot by an Uberkid that's off screen I HAD NOOO IDEA I WAS GOING TO GET SHOT I WAS TO BUSY TRYING TO AVOID THE BOSS BECAUSE I THOUGHT ALL THE UBERKIDS WERE DEAD.
The Powerups feel almost useless, sure the Uberkids take longer to shoot if I have none but they don't really change the game play at all. I don't change my tactics because of which powerup I have which in my opinion, is how it should be.
How's about something like a Spreadshot or a Rocket Launcher.
The Spread Shot would urge you to get closer to do more damage while the rocket launcher would make you have to time your attacks because they start slow then propel at a great speed doing heavy damage.
Off from the Criticism boat and on to how much you guys rock.
This has got to be now one of my favorite games on newgrounds, and I've been waiting for quite a while for something like this to happen.
Just imagine what Nene and Darnell could look like or hell Even Piconjo, That'd be badass I swear to god I'd buy a metal slug newgrounds game from the Marketplace for 20 Bucks.
The Prospects of this game, are massive.
I hope for a sequel, and some tweaks.
Nice entry, too hard for casual gamers.
There is not much to say here about this game, other than a lot of work needs to be done on it.
The controls were good, except they were slow and sluggish. There should have been a double jump or a crouching button. Also, dashing would have helped out here. The use of the mouse may have been implemented better here. Just maybe.
The graphics were excellent, and the animation was good, but not too impressive. However, I noticed a couple of bugs with the collision detection with the main weapon of the boss. Even if you're clear of the blast, you still get melted. The sound wasn't great though. Needs more work.
The fact that it only takes one shot to kill you and multiple shots to take out the enemy (and way to many for the boss), it left me frustrated has to how there was literally no time to attack the boss without getting zapped, while dodging the minions at the same time.
I actually lost interest in this game. I'm sorry, but it is nearly impossible to beat. I have yet to get the boss's health down to three-quarters, let alone half.
