Good for start!!
I like character style and Type of bullet.
Next Y not write storyline.
Power effect/Shooting system(Another type).
Boss/Stage/World/Collect more powerUP.
Get dressed up and shoot down alien monster things with your laser rifle. Try and get the highest score. Be notified that this game is VERY difficult.
Z to shoot (might still be Space, I'm fixing...)
Arrow Keys to Move
Disable Music and Sound FX with the buttons in the upper right.
Special thanks 8bitRocket.com for helping me out with this title and with pixel-based Flash games in general. You'll be seeing much more of us in the future.
------------
It has come to my attention that some of you may be experiencing a fatal error that makes the entire screen black after the dress up section. I've tested it with multiple browsers on multiple computers, and I can't seem to duplicate this result, so I don't know what the problem is.
My apologies.
I think that black screen may be the result of the GIANT background graphic not loading, so future players who have that problem might be able to avoid it by closing other applications to free up computing power while loading the game. It might be a good idea to not skip the preload ad, but I can't say for sure if that's what causes it.

And for those curious about my high score, no I am not cheating, I am just that good.

Really nice!
I liked very much SideArms back in the arcades, so, I'm a sucker for these games!
Holding the fire button to fix the shooting direction is a great idea, but I've always, ALWAYS have had trouble controlling these games with arrow keys and space in Flash. Certain combinations of 3 keys seems to clash, so it's not good when the screen is crammed with enemies...
... I really wished it was mouse-controlled. It'd really improved the game cartloads.
And I love to control a dressed-up heroine! Its design is a bit complex to be showed at such a small size yet... But I like it anyway.
I really hope to see a future GunGurl 2!
(Or a mouse control option update...)
It turns out I can fix the key fumbling by switching from Space to Z for firing. Let's see if you can beat my score now...
Meh
I liked the character creation thing and the monsters looked decently illustrated but that bg was just an eyesore. If you would have illustrated your own version of that cityscape it would have been better.
You're definateley improving in your games though. I can tell. Keep workin and you'll get better.
thanks a bunch
Good game
The game is pretty good, love the dress up feature. The game is indeed rather difficult as stated in comments :)
For some reason, I was one of those that had the black screen error, but for some reason seems to be working now... I hontestly don't know why it works out of judgement but out of judgement is fine... all well.
Anyways, for the uniqueness of the costume design added with the game play, I will give it an 8/10 4/5
Thanks for the experience and thank you AcetheSuperVillain on your quick response to my PM. It shows me that the author is active with is game even after it has been published. I see great potential with this author.
Thanks a bunch for the plug, Yodaman, and I'm glad you finally got a chance to enjoy the game. I'll be sure to live up to my potential.

It was ok
The game is ok. It's cool that there are new monsters as you go along but i collected quite a few power up things and i didnt get stronger or shoot more lasers or anything. Good idea maybe a little story line and this game would be pretty damn awesome.
Collecting the power ups increases the time between having to reload. Sorry if that wasn't obvious.
