Drift Drivin'

This is an early test for my new racing engine. I'm planning to do a few releases of this with incremental improvements based on feedback from the community, plus some new features I have in mind. I've already had a few comments on the controls. I've been trying out easier configurations but so far had various technical hurdles because Flash doesn't seem to like particular combinations of keys. Rest assured the controls are a top priority!

The aim is of course to stay on the track - off-track you're massively slowed down. It may seem tricky at first, the trick is to use normal steering for the shallow curves, and hold down the drift key and tap left or right to skid round the tighter curves.

All positive and negative feedback gratefully received!

the game is good and i understand the off track part. but what about when the other cars are knocked off and they automactilly get back on?

The engine looks fine. I like how you animated the environment to create a 3D feel.

great work man just a few personnal issues and some ideas that would spice it up, first, i think its a little to quick, and the key setup was a lil odd, but not a massive problem, i think it would be awesome if you threw in a custom car page, and when you drift it shows some cool effect like some blur. also for fun, on the maps have some fodder, like a few deers who could cross the roads or something :) all the best mate.

Pretty Fun

The Game Overall Isnt That Bad, I Would Have Appreciated It If I Knew The Controls Before The Race Started. Also The Drifting Is A Tad Sensitive Theres No Way A Person Could Be Flying Down A Straight Street And Turn On A Dime Like That, For The People Who Play This I Recommend Just Tapping The Drift Key To Get Around The Turns If You Hold It Longer Than A Second Your Going To Go Off Course....

All In All It Was A Pretty Funny Game, 3/5 7/10

Li'l buggy

Overall, it's good, but the turns don't work very well.
